For those who are already running OpenOffice.org 3.x, you might run into issues if you send the documents generated to users running OpenOffice.org 2.x.
The reason is that OpenOffice.org 3.x uses ODF version 1.2 for its documents while 2.x uses ODF.1.1.
To enable a downgrade of ODF generated, open any OpenOffice.org 3 application, Tools --> Options --> Load/Save --> General --> ODF File Format drop-down menu and choose 1.0/1.1 (OpenOffice.org 2.x) and click OK.
